What happens during one game

Any laser tag game has several important elements: preparation and launch, equipment operation, game events, backlights, information display and final statistics.

The launch of the game

Before the start the instructor prepares the playing ground: checks the play area, shelters, scenario devices, respawn points and the safety of passageways. Then he prepares the players’ kits: blasters, vests or headbands with hit sensors.

After this you can select the game parameters: scenario, teams, roles, number of lives, ammunition, the round time, damage, respawn and additional options. This can be a standard team battle, control point capture, assault, zombie scenario or another format.

The launch can be done through software, mobile configurator or instructor console. After the start command the equipment synchronously switches to game mode.

Equipment

Each player gets a set of equipment that registers shots, hits, reloads, captures and other actions. After the start signal, the active phase of the game begins.

Game events

During a match the system records events such as shots, hits, player defeats, respawns, control points capture, finishes tasks, the use of the first aid kits, ammunition or additional devices.

Backlight

Backlight on vests and blasters makes the game more exciting and helps you quickly understand what’s happening on the playing ground. Game events are accompanied by light indicators: the equipment signals key game events and shows the team’s color.

Also, the backlight is used on the walls of the arena or labyrinth. It helps with orientation, increases safety, and enhances the atmosphere of the game.

The display of information

During the game, data can be displayed on a screen, tablet, or control device. The instructor can see the progress of the match: active players, score, events, team status, and completing tasks.

If there is a screen for viewers, information is displayed in real time: who is in the lead, how much time is left, what objects have been captured, and how the score is changing.

Statistics

After the game ends the system collects final data: hits, defeats, shooting accuracy, player activity, team result, achieving goals, and the final score. These statistics help quickly analyze the match and understand which actions influenced the result.

Thus, one game turns into not just a shooter, but a controlled scenario, where the actions are recorded, displayed and influence the final outcome.
