How to Compare Commercial Laser Tag Equipment Suppliers
Compare commercial laser tag suppliers against the same player count, reserve equipment and venue requirements. Then ask each supplier how they will get you running again if a tagger, sensor or charger fails during a busy weekend. Put those answers alongside the delivered price.
Start with your venue format, delivery country, opening date and the number of simultaneous players. For example, an operator selling 12 places can ask every supplier for 12 complete playable sets plus two ready-to-use reserves. Include the tagger and its matching headband or vest in each line for a playable set.
01 / Equipment
Get a parts list
Request model and generation, sensor type, quantity, chargers, game controller, scenario devices and any network or display hardware. Separate optional upgrades and bonus items.
02 / Operations
Ask for a live demo
Have the instructor start a session, swap a player set, recover from a dropped connection and show the end-of-game results on the exact generation you will buy.
03 / Service
Plan for downtime
Ask which repairs your staff can handle, where parts ship from and who can support you during your operating hours. Request the terms in writing.
Eight questions to ask before choosing a supplier
01. Which devices are in the exact quote?
Request a bill of materials with part numbers, compatible sensors, charging capacity and a price for an extra playable set.
02. What is covered by warranty?
Ask when coverage starts, whether it applies to commercial use and what the terms say about batteries, wear, impact damage, moisture and unauthorized repairs.
03. How do I report a fault?
Confirm the service contact, time zone, language and information to send. Ask for separate estimates for an initial response, diagnosis and repair or replacement.
04. Where do warranty repairs go?
Get the service location, return authorization steps and who pays freight in each direction. Ask whether an advance replacement or loan unit is available in your country.
05. What spares can I stock myself?
Request a starter list of replaceable items, prices and lead times. Confirm which repairs staff can perform under the warranty and which require a service center.
06. Will new gear work with my existing sets?
List the models and generations you already use. Ask the supplier to confirm compatibility for sensors, chargers, game control, accessories and software separately.
07. What does game control require?
Ask which features run locally, what needs a network or account, and whether software, statistics or updates have recurring fees. Test the fallback for your actual venue.
08. What does it cost to open and stay operational?
Ask for the delivered price, training scope, first spares order, paid service rates and lead time. Compare each offer over the same period with the same operating assumptions.
LASERWAR makes and sells equipment. Apply these same questions to our offer and any other quote you receive. Use the published LASERWAR warranty policy and service and support page alongside the terms confirmed for your country and equipment.
Agree on a short acceptance test
Count and charge the sets. Match the delivered equipment to the quote and verify the chargers can handle your turnaround schedule.
Run a test session. Check hit detection in the intended conditions, the instructor's workflow and the scoreboard or end-of-game report.
Practice a swap. Remove one player set mid-session and time how long it takes to return that player to the game with a spare.
Save the support details. Record the generations, firmware, serial numbers, software access and repair process for the operating team.
Before comparing totals, review the equipment pricing guide and ask each supplier to show freight and any required extras beside the kit price.
