Under the national legislation, lasertag equipment isn't required to undergo the certification procedure. Despite this fact, LLC Lasertag voluntarily certify the produced equipment every year. The most important thing to understand is that shot illumination is not an IR impulse. That's why you can't adjust the fire of your weapon with the help of shot illumination. Shot illumination is performed by 8 LEDs, that are affixed the same distance from the circuit board center. An IR LED is placed directly in the center. It's well -known that infrared radiation isn't visible for the human eye. That's why LASERWAR specialists solved the problem of IR LED visibility with the help of LEDs. Shooting at a target you'll see a bright cross — your IR LED will be emitting right in the center of it. It lets laser tag beginners know how to aim and where to shoot. It helps them to adapt to a new game promptly. Still the correct fire adjustment is made by hitting a special target or a defeat sensor at a 50 m distance, but a sight shouldn't be adjusted according to the shot illumination. To adjust a weapon using a target is quite simple: to define a defeat spot you should shoot at the target center and a circle around it. Then turn the sight screws so that a laser tag weapon could hit the target at different distances. The better a defeat spot is aligned, the more aptly a weapon shoots.

In standard optical tube defeat area of «infrared bullet» is 50 cm at 50 meters distance. During the daytime defeat sensors are less sensitive. As a result, defeat area reduces to 30-40 cm. If the defeat sensors are shaded, they may pick up an infrared beam within a 0,5 m radius. That's why we should consider the 50 cm defeat area to be a relative factor. It should be emphasized that LASERWAR company has been developing optical systems for a long time and finally succeeded in it. To shoot from laser tag weapons is easy for a professional, but not for a beginner. For the last two years we have got plenty of positive feedback concerning optical systems from our clients (both distributors and professional individuals). Ultimate firing range of our laser tag equipment may reach 610 m in the daytime. Headband sensors detect infrared signal change. We use TSOP34856 photo sensors. These photo detectors are characterized by high sensitivity and thus are well suitable for laser tag game. They automatically distinguish between IR-emitting and sunlight. The more headband sensors are exposed to the sun's rays the worse they detect infrared signal. Consequently the effective firing range decreases. That's the reason for the firing range to be higher in the shadow than in the sunlight.

Defeat sensors on the headband vibrate. A weapon speaker says: «I'm injured». You are unable to shoot for a short period of time. You get a triple effect through the three senses: sense of touch (vibration), sense of sight (LEDs indication) and sense of hearing (sound).

According to the outdoor laser tag rules it's forbidden to cover defeat sensors, cause if a sensor is closed by a hand it can't detect an infrared signal. But a headband has got 4 sensors — it is impossible to cover all of them simultaneously. Infrared rays are worse detected by defeat sensors if bushes or vegetation interfere. Still it's easy to defeat a player standing behind the bush if they are close to the shooter due to the rounded form of the defeat area.

A Smart RGB headband is characterized by background glow technology and multizonal approach. Special attention is paid to the headband ergonomics and weight. Frost. The electronics are not damaged by frost, but one should follow simple rules: the battery will be discharged twice as quick at low temperatures. The electronics won't be out of work even at 25-30 degrees below zero. To store the equipment at low temperatures (below zero) is prohibited. Try to avoid extreme temperature changes in winter time. You needn't switch off the rifles and headbands in the game breaks. Switching off the equipment you spare very little battery charge. Besides, the equipment begins to cool down and condensate appears. Due to the special protective film which covers all the electronic boards the weapons are protected from a short circuit. But all in all: the less the equipment will be switched off/on, the longer electronic components will work. Snow. The electronics are not damaged by snow, but one should mind: snow gets into numerous slots of a weapon body (rifle systems, optic tubes), that may make worse such manipulations as shooting, reloading switching off/on and others unstable. Snow is not so harmful as water that appears after snow melting. That's why after the end of the game carry your weapon into a warm room, let it dry for a couple of hours before you start charging it. Rain. Moisture is harmful for any electronics. We recommend not to play during the rain, despite the fact all electronic boards and sensors are vanished both sides. More detailed instructions about the equipment use you may find there.

v.8 Sport is the equipment that works on PRO and Micro motherboards. Their size is quite small due to SMD-technology and automatic process of mounting. Hardware is responsible for switching firing mode, underbarrel grenade launcher and second weapon options. All this add the originality to the play sets. In v.8 one can make firing range adjustment (from 1 to 100%), and now this option doesn't depend on battery charge. The improved Prism optics is much more accurate than the former optics versions.

V.8 is also characterized by volume control and an upgraded sound set. It consists of 61 sound effects.
