One of the most widely used sniper rifles in the world, SVD has been widely used in armed conflicts in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Syria, and the former Soviet Union. It is still in service with the armies of more than 30 countries. It has been upgraded several times in Russia.
One version of the rifle is SVD-S, which was developed as a weapon for the Airborne troops and other special operations units. This is about the distinctive features of SVD-S.
Design features
The appearance of the rifle is austere and concise. The light weight (3.7 kg), smart ergonomics, modern materials, and wide scope options make the SVD-S a versatile tool, ideal for snipers.
The barrel is shortened in length, and the stock of the weapon folds down. The buttstock has also been remodeled to a triangular shape, replacing the rectangular on the classic SVD. Otherwise, the shorter version retains all the qualities of its predecessor. SVD-S offers all these advantages, including a comfortable buttstock, telescopic sights, and a shortened magazine.
When comparing the gaming versions of SVD-S and SVD, the taggers are in the same price range, so which one to choose is up to you. Both the taggers are reliable, look good and can be further upgraded with combat accessories.
Gaming characteristics
The rifle has enough internal space to accommodate any electronics generation. SVD-S can run on the 9th, 10th generation of laser tag equipment and on the new Alphatag. As with similar sniper rifles, this one also has the option of different optical systems. Depending on this, the range and accuracy of fire will vary.
The default game set includes the rifle. Hit sensors, a charger, scopes are purchased separately. It is worth noting that you will also need to purchase a side bracket when mounting the scope. The rifle can be equipped with optional recoil simulation technology.
