Mushketon Steel Series

Combat prototype

Mushketons (musketoons) were small cannons that threw cannonballs, and later - a special kind of short-barreled gun for cavalry or sailors. The muzzle of the weapon was wider than the projectile. This barrel design allowed the weapon to be loaded with buckshot (or simply chopped lead). The shorter barrel made Mushketon lighter than a musket, but made it less accurate. The accuracy was somewhat compensated only by the large hit area.

This type of shotgun appeared around the middle of the 16th century and was initially used mainly in the navy, but from the second half of the 17th century it was also used in the cavalry. Cavalry Mushketon, also like carbines, had a metal bracket (called "epaulettes") on their left side. At the bottom of the band there was a hook going over the left shoulder. In this way the weapon hung freely from the rider's right side, barrel down, allowing him to control the horse. If necessary, it could be quickly grabbed and fired.

Characteristics of design

When you take the game set, you realize it's not a plastic toy, you can go to boarding fights with it. It's a handy, small-size and realistic weapon - the luxurious wooden stock, the cool heavy metal barrel, the intricate trigger mechanism - feel like a real pirate, damn and blast!! The game set is reloaded by cocking the hammer mechanism. Strictly speaking, cocking the trigger reloads the magazine. What? A magazine in a flintlock musket? By setting the number of rounds in the magazine through the Configurator to one, we get a weapon that needs to be cocked before each shot - all is fair and square.

The comfortable wide buttstock made of dark wood is decorated with pirate insignia. The trigger is protected by a solid metal bracket to ensure a clear trigger action.

Picatinny rails, as well as the possibility to mount collimator, telescopic or other sights, are understandably missing. The sights and the weapon represent a single unit.

Gaming characteristics

A built-in speaker provides a clear and rich sound during reloading. The shot is accompanied by recoil in addition to sound, making the game even more realistic. Use the key socket located at the bottom of the stock, under the barrel to turn on the game set. There is a charging socket nearby.

The optical system is housed entirely in the solid aluminum alloy barrel - no superfluous external elements, all is authentic. The optical system provides a range of up to 40 m. The beautifully crafted dark wood case houses the electronics board, speaker and 2.2 Ah battery. That gives you 36 hours of uninterrupted playtime - enough to get yourself involved in pirate battles
