Mosin-Nagant Steel Series

Combat prototype

"Mosinka" is a magazine-type rifle adopted by the Russian Imperial Army as early as 1891. In service until the end of 1951. The weapon has been through the Russo-Japanese War, the First World War, the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War. Sniper variants of this rifle are popular to this day. The weapon has been seen professionally used in the armed conflict in Syria.

Sergei Mosin, the legendary rifle designer, was awarded the Order of St Anne, 2nd class, and the Grand St Michael's Prize for Outstanding Artillery Development. He retains the copyright on some weapon elements.

Characteristics of design

The majesty of Mosin can still be felt years later. The game set fully replicates the combat prototype.

You will like the wooden inserts and preserved bolt mechanics. You can also adjust the backsight. The weight of the tagger is 4.3 kg. It requires time to get accustomed to the hard trigger, which gives 100 points to authenticity: you should put all the energy in each shot. Sighting equipment is comfortable and sufficient for comfortable shooting. The optimal firing range - 200 m.

Press the tip of the rod to activate the game set. Switching off is done in the same way. The rod is not used in laser tag games, so we decided to use this element for activation purposes. Use the bolt for reloading - turn the bolt handle to the left, pull the bolt backwards, then feed it forward, turning the handle to the right until it stops. If the player pulls the trigger after these actions, they will hear not only the sound of the speaker, but also the whiplash of the breech-mechanism.

Gaming characteristics

Placing electronics inside was a hard task. Each inch of Mosin was used by the engineers. We wanted to retain the authentic look: there is no switch mechanism, reload button or power socket on the body.

The only details that tell you that this is a laser tag model are the performance indicator and optical tube. The first one is placed on the left-hand side of the sight bed. It is not conspicuous, but it shows the player, that the tagger is on .

The optics use a small-sized tube. The piece doesn't look bulky, organically continuing the barrel. The length of the set is 138 cm. Inside the rifle there is a 2.2A lithium battery that guarantees 36 hours of non-stop operation. The charging socket is on the buttstock. To get it, undo the screw on the butt plate.
